A World Cup Adventure: Exploring Dubai, UAE and Doha, Qatar

During the Qatar World Cup, we had the unique opportunity to explore both Dubai and Qatar. We based ourselves in a city north of Dubai called Sharjah and stayed at the Novotel Sharjah Expo Centre. We had the incredible chance to view all three games of team Canada at the world cup vs Belgium, Croatia and Morocco and took the short flight over to Qatar to watch the games.

We visited the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building. The views from the observation decks were breathtaking, and we were able to see the city in all its glory. We also visited the Dubai Frame, a unique architectural marvel that offers panoramic views of the city, and the Museum of the Future, a cutting-edge facility that explores the latest advances in technology and design.

We also had the chance to experience the Arabian desert with an ATV ride and a downhill snowboard adventure. We even went on a camel ride. In the city, we visited the Dubai Mall, one of the largest shopping centers in the world, and watched a FIFA game at the FIFA Fan Fest location. We also explored the Dubai Spice Souk, a vibrant market filled with the aromatic scents of spices and herbs, and visited the Aura Sky Pool, a rooftop pool with stunning views of the city one of the highlight of our Dubai trip.

We also spent a day at the Miracle Garden, a beautiful garden filled with colorful flowers and landscaped gardens, and visited the Global Village, a cultural and entertainment destination that celebrates the diversity of the world. Finally, we spent a day at the beach, relaxing in the warm sun and enjoying the crystal clear waters.

During our recent trip, we had the opportunity to visit Qatar, a small but mighty country with a rich culture and modern attractions. The capital city of Doha is known for its stunning skyline and cultural sights, and we were able to explore these and more during our stay.

One of the highlights of our trip was visiting the Souq Waqif, a traditional market filled with artisanal goods and local food. We also had the chance to explore Lusail City, a modern city with a futuristic design, and the downtown area, which is home to a range of shopping and dining options.

But what really made our trip to Qatar stand out was the fact that public transportation and phone data were provided for free. This made it easy and convenient to explore the city and stay connected with our loved ones back home. The World Cup organization was really well done, with a range of exciting games and events taking place across the city.
